Earlier today, the New York City Council passed Resolution 581 sponsored by Council Member Eric Dinowitz by request of the Bronx Borough President to recognize November as Veteran Appreciation Month in New York City
“Veterans of our armed forces have made great sacrifices to serve our country and defend our freedoms. We owe a great debt to those who served, and our city must do more to ensure that all veterans receive the benefits and services that they deserve. I want to thank Council Member Eric Dinowitz for his partnership on this resolution as well as Speaker Adrienne Adams and the entire New York City Council for officially declaring November as Veterans Appreciation Month in our city.”
