38 businesses with over 3,000 entry, mid-level, and upper management openings combined
Bronx, NY – On Thursday, April 27, 2023, Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson joined the New York State Department of Labor and other partners to host her first Job Fair in the Rotunda of Bronx Borough Hall where 38 businesses were featured attracting over 350 job seekers from the Bronx.
“With unemployment in the Bronx at 7.50%, the highest citywide, our goal is to prioritize equity and inclusion in connecting employers with qualified job seekers to help restore our workforce that was decimated during the pandemic,” said Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson. “With thousands of jobs currently available across the state, we are confident that whether the position is in the tech or research industries, education, social services, emergency response – there is something for everyone. I want to thank Commissioner Roberta Reardon and her team, my staff, and all the job seekers that joined us for making our 2023 Bronx Job Fair a success.”
This year`s job fair featured over 3,000 entry, mid-level and upper management jobs. Some of the employers included The Jewish Board, the NYC Department for the Aging-Workforce Services, Food Bank for New York City, Chefs Warehouse, YAI Seeing Beyond Disabilities, New York State Department of Civil Service, Optimum-An Altice USA Brand, Krispy Kreme, Quality Services for the Autism Community, The Society Solution, Inc., SCO Family of Services, CHOICE of NY, FDNY Office of Recruitment and Retention, Citarella and others.
