Bronx, NY – Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson in partnership with the Bronx Tourism Council and the Bronx Economic Development Corporation, hosted a Women’s History Month event celebrating the accomplishments of R.A.I.N. Program Director Denis Abney; Mezzo-Soprano Linda Collazo; Montefiore Health System Associate Vice President Melissa Cebollero; Executive Assistant/Corporate Secretary Lissette Rivera; NYC Fire Department Captain Michelle Santiago; and Executive Director, Belmont Business Improvement District, Alyssa Tucker.
She also recognized over twenty New York City Housing Authority Tenant Association Presidents for their exemplary work in fighting for tenants residing in public housing.
“Today, we are proud to celebrate the incredible achievements of women who are making a profound impact on our community and beyond. The women we honor—Denis Abney, Linda Collazo, Melissa Cebollero, Lissette Rivera, Michelle Santiago, Alyssa Tucker, and our NYCHA Tenant Association Presidents—embody the strength, resilience, and leadership that define the Bronx. As we commemorate Women’s History Month, let us continue to uplift and support women who are breaking barriers and paving the way for future generations,” said Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson.
