Our human service workers and the labor they provide for our city are invaluable, and for years, they have been on the frontlines advocating for a cost-of-living adjustment. Many are women of color who already experience wage disparities despite providing vital services to our communities and contributing significantly to our city`s workforce. Every worker in our city deserves to be paid a livable wage and I want to thank Mayor Adams, the New York City Council, and labor advocates for reaffirming that right and their commitment to pay parity.”
