Bronx, NY – On Tuesday, November 14th, 2023, Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson joined Ponce Bank to host her Annual Puerto Rican Heritage Month Celebration at Monroe College’s Mintz Auditorium located at 2501 Jerome Avenue, Bronx, New York, 10468, to honor individuals who have contributed to the growth and promotion of their community and culture.
This year, the honorees included musician, composer and music store owner, Miguel Angel Amadeo; Detective of NYPD PSA7, Jessica Rivera; Outreach Coordinator Development & External Affairs at Bronx Care Health Systems, Georgina DuBois; Board Member/Secretary at Union Community Health Center, Soraya Alvarez; and Youth Honoree, 19-year-old Julian Barreto, a senior at P176X. Jomil Luna, LGBTQIA+ Health Advocate, served as emcee for the night.
