“Today`s ruling makes it abundantly clear that this is the most radical Supreme Court we have seen in recent years with a clear agenda to undo years of progress made in the fight for equity. There are advocates and pioneers who fought tirelessly for marginalized groups to have protections in this country that have now been systemically stripped away by conservative justices intent on taking us back in time. As a borough, we refuse to go back to a time when only those with the highest level of privilege were protected under the law. We stand with our residents and LGBTQIA+ Taskforce in condemning today`s ruling and we are committed to not allowing this Supreme Court to further disfranchise our communities.”
