On Thursday, May 16, 2019, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. hosted his annual Bronx Week Senior Event, part of the borough’s annual celebration of everything that makes The Bronx a great place to live, work and raise a family.
Borough President Diaz joined senior citizens from across The Bronx for an afternoon of fun, including dancing, a comedy show, “Candy Land” decor, international finger foods and prizes.
“I love this event because we get to celebrate the past, present and future of the borough,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. “Our seniors are our link to the past, which we can learn from in the present, in order to build a better future. This event honoring our seniors, especially those who have lived through the highs and lows our borough, is a great way to thank them for their contributions to making The Bronx as great as it is and always will be.”
