On Sunday, May 20, 2018, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. and The Bronx Tourism Council co-hosted the grand finale of Bronx Week 2018. The day’s events included an induction ceremony for this year’s Bronx Walk of Fame honorees on the Grand Concourse as well as a parade, concert and food and arts festival on Mosholu Parkway.

“Once again, it was my pleasure to celebrate with proud Bronxites—and visitors from all over—the wonderful things that The Bronx has to offer,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.  “Bronx Week is a time to celebrate and embrace our Bronx roots. Over the past week-and-a-half, we proudly showed the world that our borough is a great place to live, work, raise a family and have a good time.”

“We are super excited about all the great events and great people that have joined the Bronx Week celebration. It’s an amazing time of year for us!” said Olga Luz Tirado, Executive Director of The Bronx Tourism Council.

The 2018 Bronx Walk of Fame inductees were advocate and founder of the #MeToo movement Tarana Burke, “Billions” actor Maggie Siff, and Hip-Hop impresario Slick Rick—each of whom had their names placed on the Grand Concourse in recognition of their achievements.
