NEW YORK – November 21, 2016 – Duval & Stachenfeld LLP hosted its first annual Bronx Real Estate Networking Event at the Bronx Brewery last Thursday evening, November 17th. The event connected real estate investors, public officials, members of not-for-profit organizations, and other real estate professionals to discuss the current state of real estate development in The Bronx and what lies ahead for the borough’s future. Featured speakers included Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. and President of the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation Marlene Citron.
“The Bronx has seen incredible, transformational development in recent years, with multiple businesses and housing developments for all taking hold in our borough. Events like this help showcase to the world our continued progress,” said the Bronx Borough President, Ruben Diaz Jr. “Networking events like the one hosted by Duval & Stachenfeld LLP are a great tool to connect our borough with business and development professionals, as well as community leaders, to showcase all The Bronx has to offer and to highlight our bright future.”
Marlene Cintron noted in her remarks that, “Bronx businesses have flatly stated that The Bronx is their home and their final destination. Easy access to roads, bridges and great employees make this borough the place to be.”
Michael Kupin, co-chair of Duval & Stachenfeld’s Bronx Practice Group, echoed these sentiments and added that, “Duval & Stachenfeld sees The Bronx as an important and emerging real estate growth region. D&S is committed to its mission of ‘Building our Clients’ Businesses’ by, in this instance, giving our clients and friends of the firm the opportunity to meet and develop relationships with important stakeholders in The Bronx. They also were able to witness first-hand, by visiting the Bronx Brewery, what new projects are taking shape throughout the borough. As a law firm, D&S prides itself on out-of-the-box thinking – events like these allow us to put such thinking into action by offering our clients new perspectives on opportunities they might have otherwise overlooked.”
Duval & Stachenfeld’s Bronx Practice Group is led by partners Michael Kupin, Andy Stephenson and Robin Kramer, and includes real estate associates Danielle Ash and Carolina Morales.
