On Thursday, May 7, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. hosted his annual Centenarian Celebration, honoring Bronxites that have lived 100 or more years. At the event Borough President Diaz, Deputy Borough President Aurelia Greene, Council Member Andy King and others honored 107-year-old Charlotte Lockett of Williamsbridge (seated), the oldest among the dozens of attendees. The event is part of Bronx Week 2015, the borough’s annual celebration of everything that makes The Bronx a great place to live, work and raise a family.
