On Wednesday, December 17, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. and Chess in the Schools co-hosted a youth chess tournament for borough students in the rotunda of The Bronx County Building. Over 250 students from all corners of The Bronx participated in the tournament, which will feature students from third grade through middle school. The event was co-sponsored by Jetro and Restaurant Depot, who graciously donated refreshments for the students participating in the event.
