Statement from Borough President Diaz
RE: Protest of Club Heat
“I join together with Bronx Community Board #2, local elected officials, the family of Mrs. Monique Rodriquez and the entire community in opposition to the outcome of the Club Heat’s strip club’s recent court appearance.
“The Club Heat strip club is not only putting their patrons and employees in danger, but also the community surrounding it. The members of Community Board #2 and the community-at-large deserve to feel safe at all times, and will not tolerate this club’s behavior. Nor should the owners of the club be given another opportunity to reopen Club Heat, considering that they have been given opportunities to correct their violations and have not done so in the past.
“I support the efforts of the Bronx Community Board #2, along with the family of Mrs. Monique Rodriquez, in their protest of this club, and I hope their efforts are successful,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.
