    • Borough President Diaz Declares Anthrax Day in the Bronx!

    In advance of the “Big 4” heavy metal concert scheduled for this evening at Yankee Stadium, on Friday Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. presented a proclamation to heavy metal legends Anthrax, declaring today “Anthrax Day in the Bronx.”

    Three members of Anthrax have strong Bronx roots. Drummer Charlie Benante and bass player Frank Bello both grew up in Throggs Neck, while guitarist Rob Caggiano is a native of Pelham Parkway.
