“April is autism awareness month and we must do all we can to address the challenges faced by those with autism. One in every 110 children is diagnosed with autism, making it more common than childhood cancer, juvenile diabetes and pediatric AIDS combined. During the month of April and beyond, I ask all Bronxites to learn more about autism, and to help spread awareness at your place of business, home or school. Let’s do all we can to help those with autism and their families find the services, support and answers they need and deserve,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.
