Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr., announced today that he has appointed Anthony Ribustello to Bronx Community Board #10, which covers the east Bronx communities of Throggs Neck, Co-op City and City Island.
Ribustello, an actor and community activist, was Borough President Diaz’s opponent in the April special election to replace former Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion, who left the office after he was picked by President Barack Obama to be the first-ever White House Director of Urban Affairs.
“’One Bronx’ means that we cannot allow political differences to interfere in our work to make the borough a better place. Though Anthony and I may disagree on issues, he is a good man who cares deeply about the well-being of his neighborhood, and he will be a strong voice for local concerns in his new position,” said Borough President Diaz.
“I look forward to serving on Community Board #10, working hand in hand with Borough President Diaz and City Councilman James Vacca to strengthen not only our community but the entire Bronx,” said Ribustello.
