    "With his choice of Bill Bratton as Police Commissioner, Mayor-Elect de Blasio is poised to continue decades of progress that have made us the safest big city in America and have driven crime in the Bronx to an all time low.  Mr. Bratton knows we don’t have to choose between keeping our people safe and protecting their rights.
