I encourage qualified Bronx residents to take advantage of this opportunity and apply for these jobs. My office looks forward to working with the BOEDC, Equity One and the New York City Economic Development Corporation to bring this project to life as we continue to provide Bronxites with job opportunities,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.
“We greatly appreciate all that the Bronx Borough President’s office and other elected officials have done to move this project forward. Olson, CEO of Equity One, Inc.
“I am pleased to join in the effort being made by the developers of Broadway Plaza at 230th Street and Broadway to promote local hiring by having my district office at 3636 Waldo Avenue in Riverdale serve as a collection point at which those seeking employment at the construction site can drop off resumes,” said City Council Member G. Oliver Koppell.

“The development of the Broadway Plaza site is an exciting opportunity to bring new retail and businesses to the Kingsbridge area and to the residents of the Northwest Bronx. This is a huge win for our community and the BOEDC is looking forward to working with Equity One to put our people back to work.
