“Keeping the Hunts Point Produce Market in the Bronx where it belongs is a top priority of my administration, a point I made clear in my ‘State of the Borough.’ I commend this administration, the New York City Economic Development Corporation and the tenants of the Hunts Point Produce Market for agreeing to this exclusive negotiation extension.

“My office, along with the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation, will continue to work with all parties involved to secure a long-term deal for the Hunts Point Produce Market, one that ensures that this important economic engine continues to make its home in our borough,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.
