Today, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. announced that Marlene Cintron will serve as the new president of the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation.

Cintron was selected as the new president by a unanimous vote of the board of the BOEDC last week.

“I am pleased to announce that Marlene Cintron will serve as the new president of the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation. Marlene will be my point person in our efforts to build and grow the Bronx economy. Marlene is an attorney whose decades of experience at companies like Merrill Lynch and Citibank, in state and federal government, and in the not-for-profit sector make her the perfect individual to lead the BOEDC into the new decade, and I look forward to working with her to outline an aggressive economic development strategy for the Bronx,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.

“The Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation is a very important organization, and I am thrilled to be its new president. I look forward to working with business leaders from all corners of the Bronx, the City and the entire region to develop innovative new ways to grow the borough’s economy,” said Marlene Cintron.
