On Wednesday, February 17, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., in conjunction with La Gran Parada Dominicana de El Bronx, Inc., hosted the borough’s official Dominican Heritage Celebration to celebrate the beauty of the Dominican culture.
Borough President Diaz honored leaders from the Dominican Republic who have contributed to the growth and cultural richness of our city. The 2010 honorees are: Angela Cooper, Educator, Adalberto Dominguez, Journalist and Photographer, Julio Gaspar Isidor , General Manager of Cibao Meats Products, and Chelo Ramirez , Owner of Marisco Centro Restaurants.
