RE: Community Board #8 resolution to support the fight of City Island residents against the closing of Ladder 53
“Like I said in my inaugural address we are ‘One Bronx,” and the problems of one community concern every corner of our borough. Community Board #8’s resolution to oppose the closing of Ladder 53, making it clear that what effects City Island also effects Riverdale and Kingsbridge, is the embodiment of that spirit. I applaud Community Board #8 for standing in solidarity with the City Island community, demonstrating that we truly are ‘One Bronx.’”
