BRONX, NY - Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion, Jr. will be meeting with leaders in Israel and Egypt during a tour in the Middle East organized by the Aspen-Rodel Fellowships in Public Leadership Seminar.
The seminar will take place from February 23 to March 2 and will bring together bipartisan groups of public officials from all over the country. Participants in the trip include Lieutenant Governor of South Carolina, Andre Bauer, Minnesota’s House of Representative, Laura Brod, California’s State Comptroller, John Chiang, President of the Los Angeles City Council, Eric Garcetti, Alaska’s Lieutenant Governor, Sean Parnell, and the Attorney General of Washington State, Robert Mckenna.
Carrión will meet with numerous political and governmental representatives from both countries including the Minister of Egypt International Cooperation, Fayza Aboul Naga, Minister of Egypt Foreign Affairs, Ahmad Abul Gheit, Governor of the Bank of Israel,  Stanley Fischer, Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Aaron Abramovich, and a number of UN Officers and authorities from Palestine and Iraq.

The Aspen Institute-Rodel Fellowships in Public Leadership brings together the nation's most promising young political leaders to explore, through study and conversation, the underlying values and principles of western democracy, the relationship between individuals and their community, and the responsibilities of public leadership; to support and inspire political leaders committed to sustaining the vision of a political system based on thoughtful and civil bipartisan dialogue; and to help America's brightest young leaders achieve their fullest potential in public service.
