BRONX EXPERIENCES DEVELOPMENT BOOM $½ BILLION INVESTED IN JUNE—$1 BILLION FOR ENTIRE YEAR BRONX, NY-Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion Jr., released his June development report today. This special report shows that the Bronx continues to experience unprecedented economic growth. Just last month alone almost $500 million dollars was invested in residential and commercial development. This money represents 118 news addresses in the Bronx. The Bronx has now reached approximately one billion dollars in the last 6 months alone. “Through the power of smart investment and strong growth we have helped change the story of Bronx, “stated Borough President Adolfo Carrion. “These developments represent jobs for the entire Bronx and as I have said for years the best social program is a job.” The ½ billion dollars represent the highest investment month in the Bronx in the last year. The majority of the addresses issued are for residential and commercial spaces and are located throughout the entire borough. So far this year there have been 506 addressed issued and approximately one billion dollars invested in the Bronx. “Everyday more people are seeing the Bronx as a smart investment and recognizing that this is the borough where your family can grow and thrive,” stated Carrion. . # # # |
