Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.’s Bronx Clergy Task Force (BXCTF) is a coalition comprised of leaders from various Bronx houses of worship and community based organizations. The BXCTF strives to aid in the revitalization of distressed communities and to diminish neighborhood tensions based on discrimination and prejudice. On a monthly basis, the BXCTF provides up-to-date information on services available to the community including issues related to health care, employment, legal resources, housing, education, and financial literacy.

The Bronx Clergy Task Force is chaired by Bishop Angelo Rosario and meets the second Wednesday of every month at 11:00 a.m. To obtain additional details about the Bronx Clergy Task Force please call (718) 537-5584.

On Wednesday, September 8, 2010, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. and Bishop Angelo Rosario, chairman of the Borough President’s Clergy Task Force, met with dozens of spiritual leaders of all faiths from across the borough to prepare for the launch of the “Peace in Our Streets” initiative, which will work to combat gun violence and illegal activity on Bronx streets through direct action in affected communities. The initiative will launch on Saturday, September 25th, at the Greater Faith Temple, located at 4214 White Plains Road in the 47th Precinct.
