On Thursday, May 9, 2019, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. hosted the annual Bronx Week Centenarian Celebration, which honors Bronxites that have lived 95 or more years. The event took place at the Villa Barone Manor in Throggs Neck.
“Our senior citizens are the backbone of our borough, so it is certainly fitting that we recognize their spirit during our annual celebration of everything that makes our borough great, Bronx Week,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.
