On Thursday, October 11, 2018, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., Council Member Vanessa L. Gibson Destination Tomorrow and local residents co-hosted a celebration of the 30th Anniversary of “National Coming Out Day” as part of LGBTQ History Month. The event took place in The Bronx County Building’s Veterans’ Memorial Hall.

The event both recognized the resilience of the LGBTQ community of The Bronx with brave stories of coming out and also focused on supporting on-going efforts for equality.
