On Wednesday, December 13, 2017, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. hosted the borough’s annual Chanukah celebration at the Riverdale YM-YWHA.

The event featured musical performances by the Kinneret Day & Riverdale Y Nursery Schools, as well as traditional Chanukah food and a menorah lighting ceremony.

“Once again, I was proud to join my Jewish friends and people from all walks of life to celebrate Chanukah, and to commemorate the Jewish festival of lights,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. “Chanukah is a wonderful tradition celebrated by Jewish people throughout the world, and this event is always an excellent way for our borough to celebrate the season.”

The event was co-sponsored by the Bronx Jewish Community Council.
