On December 6, 2016, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., along with Charito Cisneros of The New York Hispanic Cosmetology & Beauty Chamber of Commerce, MetroPlus and volunteers, partnered up to offer complimentary spa treatments to case workers and survivors of domestic violence while also raising awareness on the issue, during the Borough President’s 14th Annual Bronx DiVA Spa, held at Hostos Community College.
