On Wednesday, June 15, 2016, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., Council Members Ritchie Torres and James Vacca, The Bronx Academy of Arts & Dance, and leaders of the Bronx LGBT community cohosted a vigil in support of the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando. The event took place at The Bronx County Building, and over 300 individuals attended.
