    RE: President Obama’s Call for Immigration Reform

    “I am pleased that President Obama is taking up this important issue, and putting the full force of his office behind a renewed push for comprehensive immigration reform. Our current immigration system is broken, and President Obama has put forward a clear plan to fix it. I hope that leaders from all points on the political spectrum will join the president and support his plan for comprehensive immigration reform, which will not only increase our nation’s security but will make the dream of American citizenship a reality for those who desire it,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.
